It was the first car to be permanently on display in a Museum of Modern Art, the MoMA in New York; it was manufactured on a limited basis (about 170 units, including convertibles) for Cisitalia at the Stabilimenti Farina (Corso Trapani, Turin). Unveiled in 1947 at the exhibition of Coachbuilders at the Milan Triennale. It won the first prize at the Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance (Cernobbio, Como) in 1947, Villa d’Este Gold Cup.
